This is how SKEMA\u2019s STAR K Line<\/strong> was born: SPC floors that stand out for the use of recyclable mineral panels, certified for indoor air quality, CE-marked, and supported by performance declarations that clearly state Bfl-s1<\/strong> or B-s2,d0<\/strong> fire reaction, DS<\/strong> slip resistance, and thermal conductivity parameters suitable for underfloor heating.<\/p>\n

Star K \u2013 technology in large format<\/h3>\n

Star K<\/strong> is the oak that studied materials engineering. It is a heterogeneous vinyl floor with SPC technology, in planks measuring 1829 \u00d7 218 \u00d7 6 mm<\/strong>, extruded \u201call in one piece\u201d and loaded with CaCO\u2083<\/strong> minerals: the mineral core makes it semi-rigid, stable, and controlled even under temperature fluctuations, while the pre-attached underlayment tames background noise.<\/p>\n

Its Declaration of Performance (DOP) states a fire reaction of Bfl-s1, DS<\/strong> slip resistance, and a thermal conductivity of \u03bb = 0.15 W\/mK<\/strong> with R \u2248 0.04 m\u00b2K\/W<\/strong>: figures that explain why Star K performs so well with radiant heating and in demanding public spaces.<\/p>\n

On the surface, however, the whole \u201cstory\u201d is oak: Edimburgo, Tarragona, Malta, Cortina, Roma<\/strong>\u2026 a lexicon of veins, knots, and contrasts. In the Anversa<\/strong> and Bilbao<\/strong> decors, the strong tonal variations and slightly antiqued effect recall the work of a pipe maker searching in the briar for that imperfect flame that will give character to the object.<\/p>\n

Star KR \u2013 oak you can touch<\/h3>\n

If Star K tells the story of oak in plan, Star KR<\/strong> tells it in macro. Here, three-dimensional synchronized pore technology<\/strong> comes into play: the surface follows the wood grain millimetrically, so eye and touch perceive the same design. The effect is amplified by the ultra-matt finish and very calibrated colours, resulting in a surprisingly close resemblance to brushed wood.<\/p>\n

In terms of certifications, the DOP confirms the same performance profile as Star K. The reduced thickness makes it ideal for renovations, even over existing floors. The decors in different types of Rovere, Quercia Francese and Teak<\/strong> evoke the work of a luthier, grain after grain.<\/p>\n

With Star KC<\/strong>, the underlayment steals the show. The SPC plank (1500 \u00d7 228 \u00d7 6 mm<\/strong>) integrates a natural cork layer: a living, elastic material that adds acoustic insulation and thermal comfort<\/strong>, but above all that sensation of warmth underfoot we normally associate with solid wood.<\/p>\n

The DOP RA-014<\/strong> records the same safety grammar as the other floors in the series: Bfl-s1<\/strong> fire reaction, DS<\/strong> slip resistance, according to EN 14041. Not just pictograms and numbers: it is what the user perceives as \u201creliability\u201d in residential or contract spaces.<\/p>\n

Star KS \u2013 the herringbone that fears no water<\/h3>\n

Star KS<\/strong> brings French herringbone<\/strong> into territories where traditional parquet does not easily venture: hotel lobbies, heavily trafficked public spaces. The 1498 \u00d7 300 \u00d7 6 mm<\/strong> format, the micro-bevel on four sides<\/strong> and the end-less pattern<\/strong> allow a continuous layout, with planks that visually chase each other, while also simplifying installation.<\/p>\n

The DOP reiterates: Bfl-s1<\/strong> fire reaction, E1<\/strong> emissions, DS<\/strong> slip resistance, \u03bb = 0.15 W\/mK<\/strong>. Data that make its use credible in public spaces where the elegance of herringbone must coexist with fire regulations and pedestrian safety requirements.<\/p>\n

Star KD & Star KW \u2013 the dimensions of matter<\/h3>\n

With Star KD<\/strong>, the language changes: here the pipe maker gives way to the sculptor who works with stone, cement, resin and metal. The 914 \u00d7 457 \u00d7 6 mm<\/strong> tiles reinterpret material finishes\u2014Bruges, Cardiff, Cemento, Liegi, Resina, Barry, Newport, Corten<\/strong>\u2014designed for industrial-design-inspired spaces, but with the warm, continuous undertone of SPC. The DOP extends the same performance platform as Star K to KD: Bfl-s1, E1, DS, \u03bb = 0.15 W\/mK, R \u2248 0.04 m\u00b2K\/W<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Star KW<\/strong> is the wall version of the same material vocabulary: 1210 \u00d7 457 \u00d7 4 mm<\/strong> panels with I4F\u2122<\/strong> push-down joint, fast glued installation even over existing cladding. From a certification standpoint, the DOP frames it as a resilient wall covering compliant with EN 14041, with Bfl-s1<\/strong> fire reaction, DS<\/strong> slip resistance and \u03bb = 0.15 W\/mK<\/strong>; wall-application dossiers report classes up to B-s2,d0<\/strong> according to EN 13501.<\/p>\n

It is the vertical cladding for bathrooms, showers and feature walls where water and steam are protagonists: it overlays old tiles, eliminates grout lines and coordinates with Star KD flooring for a true total look<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The 950 \u00d7 2800 \u00d7 4 mm<\/strong> slabs are designed to clad entire-height bathrooms, showers, lobbies and representative areas: composite SPC panel, reduced weight, I4F\u2122 push-down<\/strong> joints on the long sides, fast installation even on tiled walls.<\/p>\n

The Carrara Marble, Orobico Marble, Graniglia Tundra, Graniglia Cotton, Graniglia Cloud, Graniglia Cashmere and Calacatta Marble<\/strong> decors combine the verticality of large slabs with a highly realistic stone finish. The technical sheets confirm fire reaction B-s2,d0<\/strong>, E1<\/strong> emissions, fully waterproof surface, 0.30 mm<\/strong> wear layer: marble \u201ctailored\u201d for contemporary interiors<\/em>, balancing scenography and daily maintenance.<\/p>\n
